Carpentry & Cabinetry for New Home Builds

Everything from first fix framing through to the final door handle — done properly, on time, and built to last.

Building a new home is a big deal, and the carpentry and cabinetry work sets the tone for everything else. At Gold Star Cabinets & Carpentry, we work directly with builders, developers, and owner-builders throughout the construction process — from rough framing to the finished joinery you’ll see every day. We handle all the timber and cabinet trades under one roof, which means fewer subcontractors, fewer headaches, and a job that flows the way it should.

What we cover in a new build

New home construction requires a lot of carpentry work happening in stages. We’re set up to handle all of it, so you’re not chasing three different tradies to get one house finished.

Wardrobes & storage

Built-in wardrobes designed and installed for every bedroom. Walk-ins, reach-ins, sliding doors, hinged doors — we build to fit the space properly, not off a standard template.

Kitchen cabinetry

Full kitchen cabinet installation — uppers, lowers, pantry units, and island frames. We work to your kitchen designer's plans or help you figure out what makes sense for the layout.

Bathroom & laundry vanities

Custom and semi-custom vanity units built for your wet areas. We make sure everything is fitted square and solid before the plumber comes in to finish.

Staircases & handrails

Timber staircases, balustrades, and handrails for double-storey homes. Built to meet the building code and finished to match the rest of the home's timber work.

Skirting, architraves & trims

All internal trims fitted properly — skirting boards, door architraves, window reveals, and shadow lines. The finishing details that make a new build look complete and well-built.

Door hanging & hardware

Internal door installation including framing, hanging, and all hardware fit-off. Doors that open and close correctly — sounds basic, but it matters when you're living there.

Linen presses & storage units

Custom shelving, linen presses, and utility storage built to suit the home's layout. Purpose-built, not improvised with flat-pack.

Entertainment & feature joinery

TV units, feature walls, study desks, bookshelves, and home office joinery. Built-in pieces designed to look like they were always part of the house.

First fix and second fix — we do both

Most carpenters do one or the other. We’re set up to do both stages of carpentry in a new build, which makes scheduling simpler and ensures the work ties together properly.
First fix covers all the structural and rough-in timber work before walls are lined — wall frames, roof framing, subfloors, window and door frames, and structural noggins. Getting this right is important because everything else is built on it.
Second fix is everything that goes in after plastering — cabinets, doors, trims, skirting, architraves, stair fit-off, and all hardware. This is the finish work that people actually see and use every day.
Having the same team across both stages means we already know the house. There are no surprises from the first fix showing up later and causing problems.

How we work with builders

We understand how a building site runs. We show up when we’re supposed to, we work around the other trades, and we let you know ahead of time if there’s anything that needs to be sorted before we can start our stage. No drama, no delays where we can help it.
We’re also happy to work direct with owner-builders who are managing their own project. If you’re building your own home and need a reliable carpentry trade who’ll give you straight advice and fair pricing, get in touch.
We're based in Spinazzola and service new build projects across Barletta-Andria-Trani. If you're outside this area and your project is large enough, it's worth asking — we may still be able to help.

How it works

1.
Get in touch with your plans

Send us your building plans or scope of works. The more detail you can give us, the more accurate our quote will be. We're happy to look at preliminary plans for early budget estimates too.

2.
We put together a quote

We'll come back to you with a clear, itemised quote. No vague figures — you'll know exactly what you're paying for and what's included.

3.
We get scheduled into your build program

Once you're ready to proceed, we work with you to slot our stages into your construction timeline. We keep communication open throughout the build.

4.
We complete the work to standard

Each stage is done to a high standard before we move to the next. We do a final walkthrough with you at practical completion to make sure everything is right.
